Thanks for this post. Our church can “stand” on the numbers, even in a current numbers dip, but it sometimes frustrates me when people in the congregation look at the numbers of kids and assume I am doing a “great job.” So what happens if numbers go down? Our congregation is connected to the kids, but I love the point about how the onus is on the youth worker/pastor to give a different framework by which people can measure success.
